CALL FOR POSTERS

Workshop on Edge Computing Using New Commodity Architectures

We invite poster submissions on topics related to many issues that arise in using new commodity architectures (NCA), e.g. GPUs, multi-core CPUs, Cell processor, PPU, and others. The topics include, but are not limited to

• Data parallel & streaming architectures
• GPGPU: General Purpose Computing using Graphics Processing Units
• Programming language and compiler support for NCA
• Scientific computation and simulation on NCA
• Geometric computing using NCA
• Signal/data processing on NCA
• Database and data streaming using NCA
• High-performance computing on NCA
• Software environments for computing on GPUs, Cell and other architectures
• Other novel uses of NCA (simulation and animation, robot motion planning and control, etc)

Posters will be reviewed by members of the conference committee based on originality, quality and relevance.

We plan to schedule one or more sessions during the conference when the poster authors can present their work and given live or video demonstration of their work. The accepted posters will be made available as a part of the conference proceedings.

Submission

Poster proposals should be submitted in the form of one or two page extended abstracts in PDF format to: before 11:59pm PST on April 18, 2006. If you wish to include additional images or videos as a part of your submission, please post them on a web site and clearly specify the URL location in your submission.
