Old Versions

If you want old versions of RAPID, you can get them here. The 1.xx versions of RAPID all use the same interface - clients should be able to use them interchangeably. Version 2.00 involved a change in the API which was not backward compatible with 1.xx series. However, with the version 2.00 API we expect to be able to maintain backward compatibility for many future releases without difficulty.

• RAPID version 1.01, March 28, 1996 - the original release.
• RAPID version 1.01, May 8, 1996.
• RAPID version 1.02, never released.
• RAPID version 1.03, September 7, 1996 - more robust tree building, more robust triangle overlap test.
• RAPID version 1.04, April 19, 1997 - more robust box overlap test, uniform scaling.
• RAPID version 2.00, June 10, 1997 - faster preprocessing, improved API.
